Emmy Smela, Farmers Market Manager
Emmy Smela is a Boston transplant with a love for food systems and working in community organizing. Originally from New York City, the deficit of green spaces, and access to local food, inspired her to pursue a career in city planning and environmental justice. Emmy received her B.A. in Global Environmental Studies and Women and Gender Studies from Clark University in 2015. Throughout the years Emmy has worked on a large scale ranch, ran a community garden, worked with a farm to school education non-profit, and most recently worked in locally sourced catering.
In her spare time you can find Emmy voraciously devouring a good book, working on her art in many mediums, practicing meditation, or enjoying a long conversation with a person she just met.
