Kelsie Evans, Project Manager
Kelsie Evans has always been drawn to organizations and work that focus on building community, where people eat and shop and around a shared vision for building a better local and global community. She first moved to Boston from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia in 2006 to work at Equal Exchange, a local Fair Trade Foods company, where she worked for ten years as the Chocolate Products Coordinator, Fundraising Program Coordinator, and, most recently, the Manager of Equal Exchange’s Boston Cafe. Her time in the Fair Trade sector gave her experience in project management, product development, event planning, staff recruitment and team building, and fueled a passion for small business development. Her work at Equal Exchange had a global focus (building and nourishing supply chains for small-scale farmers worldwide), so she is excited to be shifting her energies toward investing in and growing her local community with Roslindale Village Main Streets.
When not at the RVMS office, Kelsie is usually spending time her husband and young child, enjoying the farmer’s market and the beautiful outdoor spaces around Roslindale. Kelsie is also an event planner and a doula.
