On Saturday, September 17th and Sunday, September 18th, Roslindale Village will be full of community fun, lots of live music, and a bunch of local businesses coming together for a whole weekend of #ROSlove!
Saturday, September 17th,the RVMS Farmers Market will expand once more into Poplar Street from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Come shop the craft vendors or have some fun playing giant corn-hole on Poplar!
Right after the market, Roslindale PorchFest begins! There will be 58 locations and 80 acts. A wide range of musical genres will be represented at 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm, and 4:30 pm to liven up all of Roslindale. After the event, everyone is invited to join the committee at a special After Party being held at St. Nectarios Church on Belgrade Avenue from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Tickets for the After Party are available via the purchase of a commemorative wrist band available on Saturdays at the RVMS Farmers Market or online.
But wait! There’s more! On Sunday, September 18th, Birch Street will be closed as the Roslindale Business Group and City Councilors Tim McCarthy and Michelle Wu are organizing a fun-filled day of music, food, and kids activities with the Rozzie Fall Festival, which is from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. Don’t forget to enter into a raffle for tickets to David Ortiz’s LAST regular season Red Sox game. Raffle tickets can also be purchased on Saturday at the Farmers Market and all proceeds go towards a new scoreboard for the BCYF Roslindale Community Center!
