Photo Opps with Mandee Made’s Window Art

In October 2020, members of Roslindale Village Main Street's Design Committee met (virtually) with Mandee Made, a window, sign, and mural artist to brainstorm a series of window art pieces that would be placed at eight different storefronts scattered around the Square.

"We want these to be selfie-friendly, seasonal, and promoting peace, love, and shopping, eating, and drinking locally," said RVMS Executive Director Alia Hamada Forrest.

During the last two weeks in November, artist Mandee Rae Martin was out and about Roslindale Village painting windows at: Studio MFitChoice 24/7Shanti Restaurant, the RVMS Office, Mi FincaBlue Star RestaurantJoanne Rossman: Purveyor of the Unnecessary & the Irresistible, and Distraction Brewing, Co. These beautiful pieces will stick around throughout the holiday shopping season, and depending on the weather, may last even longer.

We invite you to take a photo of yourself (yes, it can be a selfie), your family, your pet, or your kiddo -- in front of any of the 8 window art pieces around the Square. We've placed scan-able QR codes in each window to upload your photo or you can click here to upload your photo. Once we receive it, we'll email you to coordinate a time you can pick up a #ROSlove gift bag from the RVMS Office (4236A Washington Street).
